1956 Tong Cheng Iron Works Co. Ltd. was legally established and is located in Shing Yee Str. Taichung, the central city of Taiwan. “SWAN” is also adopted as her brand.

1964 Rapid expansion continued. Tong Cheng was permitted as a licensed export  factory by Ministry of Economic.

1967 Obtained the sole agency in Taiwan for SMC (Japan) products, simultaneously  turning  into  the leading supplier of pneumatic equipment in Taiwan.

1970 Approved by  Ministry of National Defense for the manufacturing capability.

1976 To cooperate with the reputable COMPAIR (UK) to market oil-free  reciprocating air compressors.

1980 The company served as the sole agent of KOBELCO (Japan) screw compressors; simultaneously, screw compressors were being developed.

1981 Established the computer system  to improve performance in daily routine work.

1988 Through  unceasing  test  and  research of our technology department, the new improved “S” series of air compressors were successfully launched.

1990 Thailand sales office was set up. It was the beginning of overseas investment the company intended to make. Then Indonesia office was also established to market “SWAN” air compressors.

1991 The overseas investment group was set up to make aggressive and accurate plans and evaluation  for  overseas  investment, specially  in Asia.

1992 The automatic-painting  production   line  was  built. The highly automated and advanced equipment were not only to upgrade the quality and looking, but also more environmentally friendly.

1995 The year, the air-cooled and oil-less “SD” series of  air compressors were  successfully launched.

1997 Thai government BOI (Board of Investment) permitted “SWAN”  Thai factory  to be legally  established  in  Thailand. Next, the1st-stage building  project  of   “SWAN” Thai factory was smoothly accomplished, too.

1998 This was a busy and fruitful year for the company. TUV ISO-9001 was  certified by German TUV  Rheinland Anlagentechnik Gmbh as expected. 

The reciprocating “S-N” series were successfully launched. Simultaneously, the 2nd-stage project of  “SWAN”  Thai factory  was being proceeded.

1999 The 2nd-stage project of “SWAN” Thai factory was  accomplished as  expected.

2000 “SWAN” Thai factory  reached to production capability of  more than 10,000 units of  compressor products.

Air Compressor got  EEC  directive and obtained  CE certification. 

2002 The Beginning of the Investment in Mainland China and Vietnam.
